Burnout in high void fraction medium

Description

A procedure was developed for solving equations of film fluid balance with a view to obtaining a boundary vapour contents. The solution involved the use of the notion of maximum permissible flow rate and accounted for the specifics of mass exchange between the flow nucleus and ''wall'' in heated channels. Equations were obtained for calculating maximum permissible flow rates and reflux intensities. The results of calculations for the boundary vapour contents in uniformly heated pipes (dia 8 mm, lenath 6-20 m and 0.4-1.4 m) are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data of other authors
