Seismic safety margin assessment program (Annual safety research report, JFY 2011)

Description

Seismic capacity test data, analysis methods and evaluation codes provided by Seismic Safety Margin Assessment Program have been utilized for the support of on-going stress tests. The summary of the program in 2011 is as follows. 1. Component seismic capacity test and quantitative seismic capacity evaluation. Several kinds of the emergency diesel generator partial-model seismic capacity tests have been conducted and quantitative seismic capacities have been evaluated. 2. Refinement of evaluation method regarding component seismic response. Several analytical evaluations of piping-system considering the failure of some snubbers have been conducted. 3. Evaluation code for quantitative evaluation of seismic safety margin of systems, structures and components. Quantitative evaluation of seismic safety margin of systems, structures and components has been conducted for the reference plant. (author)
