Stationary spherical accretion into black holes

Description
The theory of stationary, spherical, optically thick accretion into black holes developed in paper II of this series is applied over a wide range of different accretion regimes. Gas-pressure-dominated solutions, radiation-pressure-dominated solutions, and relativistic solutions, in which radiation energy density exceeds the rest-mass energy density of the gas particles, are treated. Numerical solutions are presented and their physical properties are discussed. (author)
