Description

Extending the work done in ref. 1, which treats carefully the self-energy term in the BCS approach to the nuclear pairing problem, we have calculated the ground and first excited state energies of the light exotic nuclei 11 Li when the two neutrons are assumed to occupy two or three single-particle levels, namely 2 s1/2, 1 p1/2 and 1 d5/2.
