Description

The Hamiltonian BRST - anti-BRST symmetry for Yang-Mills theory is constructed. In this paper we have explicitly constructed the Hamiltonian BRST - anti-BRST symmetry for the Yang-Mills theory. By duplicating the constraints, we obtain the correct ghost and antighost spectra. The total BRST charge spits into two charges with the bidegrees (1, 0) and (0, 1), respectively. These charges generate the BRST and anti-BRST symmetries. By choosing an adequate gauge-fixing fermions, the gauge-fixed Hamiltonian is both BRST and anti-BRST invariant. The gauge-fixed action contains on the one hand those terms appearing within the standard formalism, and, on the other hand, some new terms that generate supplementary interaction vertices.(author)
