Description

Lifetimes of excited states in 116Xe were measured using the recoil-distance Doppler-shift technique. Excited 116Xe nuclei were populated in the fusion-evaporation reaction 102Pd(16O,2n)116Xe. Lifetimes of the 21+ and 41+ states were evaluated using the differential decay-curve method with γ-γ-coincidence data as well as lifetimes of the 61+ and 71 states using simulations of spectra considering Doppler-shift attenuation effects.
