Mutation induction in beans. Some results in M2 generation

Different lines from M1 black bean seeds ICA Fijao var. previously irradiated at doses 90-150 Gy were taken to be studied in M2. For each of the treatments, 40 lines were sown and each of them were compared among them and with the original variety. All plants received the same care and the different works were done according to technical instructions of cultivation. Different parameters of the development of cultivation were evaluated as well as yield components. The biggest mutant frecuency per 100 M2 plants was present at 150-190 Gy dose and the highest morphosis percentage at the same dose. Generally speaking, the highest number of possible mutants corresponds to 150-190 Gy doses and higher lines were obtained
