Determination of characteristics of different plane materials by a single radioisotope gage
Description
Technique for construction of transient dependence for concrete radioisotope gage, using the least squares method, was developed on the basis of theoretical calculation and experimental testing with application of radionuclide beta-sources of promethium-147 and thallium-204. The main contribution to error of transitient dependence construction is made by the error of metrological calibration of natural standards. The suggested technique for transient dependence determination enables to use one and the same radioisotope device for measuring characteristics of wide range of plane materials, which difer in density, thickness, structure and chemical composition. 3 refs.; 2 figs
