Conversion of beta-ray dose rates measured in air to dose rates in skin
Description
Factors have been obtained for converting absorbed dose rates in air to absorbed dose rates at the 'surface' (i.e. virtually at zero depth) of tissue. These factors are ratios of dose rates from NPL Secondary Standard Sources measured using a tissue-equivalent extrapolation chamber to the dose rates in air measured by the NPL.
