Backward proton-4He elastic scattering at medium energies

Description
Backward proton-4He elastic scattering process at medium energies is studied in the framework of the triton exchange model. The absorption effects are found to be very important. They can diminish the cross section obtained in the plane wave Born approximation by one or two orders of magnitude. The theoretical predictions are compared with recent experimental data. (Auth.)
