Texture control of zircaloy tubing during tube reduction
Description
The quantitative relationship between the texture parameter and the newly proposed strain ratio parameter was established using empirical equations for both as-rolled and full-annealed tubing. The deformation texture of Zircaloy tubing was dependent on the tool's curvature and independent of the dimensions of the mother tubes. Different slopes of texture gradients were observed in tubing of higher and of lower strain ratios. Also, different types of basal pole shift during annealing of the tested tubes in the α temperature range were observed. (author)
