Description
The g-factor of the 4.25 MeV4+ state in 20Ne has been measured to be g = -0.10(19). The large transient magnetic fields acting on high-velocity. Ne nuclei traversing iron have been employed. The strong reduction of the g-factor in comparison to the 2+ state (g = +0.54(4)) is not expected for a T = 0 state in a self-conjugate nucleus. (orig.)
