ESR study of free radicals photoinduced by C60 solution
Description
The ESR spectra of fullerene (C60) PY solution was obtained in a photosensitive system by using 5,5-dimethyl-1-pyrroline-N-oxide (DMPO) as a spin trap. It was shown that free radicals were engendered in this photosensitive reaction. The ESR spectra that was analyzed and simulated showed the spectra to be adduct spectra of [DMPO-O2-]. and [DMPO-OH].. It was confirmed further that O2.- and OH. was produced through the ESR spin adduct spectra that was reduced with a scavenger such as SOD and mannitol
