Diffusion and transport of radiocesium down the soil-plant-deer pathway in two different forests chosen as ecosystems
Description
During the period from 1987 until 1991, the diffusion and transport of Cs-137 down the soil-plant-deer pathway was examined on the basis of spatial and temporal factors for two different ecosystems. Using data taken from the relevant literature a survey is provided of the behaviour of radiocesium in the soil, plants and mammalian organism. This is followed by a retrospective evaluation of the contamination of the environment with radiocesium that was caused during the fifties and sixties by above-ground tests with nuclear weapons. The distribution of fallout radionuclides after the Chernobyl reactor accident is dealt with subsequently. (orig.)

Die raeumliche und die zeitliche Ausbreitung, sowie der Transfer von Cs-137 in zwei verschiedenen Waldoekosystemen, entlang des Pfades Boden-Pflanze-Reh wurden von 1987-1991 untersucht. Im Literaturteil wird ein Ueberblick ueber das Verhalten von Radiocaesium im Boden, in Pflanzen und im Saeugetierorganismus gegeben. Danach folgt ein Rueckblick auf die Umweltkontamination mit Radiocaesium durch die oberirdischen Kernwaffentests, waehrend der 50er und 60er Jahre. Anschliessend wird die Ausbreitung der Radionuklide beschrieben, die bei dem Reaktorunfall von Tschernobyl freigesetzt wurden. (orig.)Additional details
