Description

International Thermonuclear Engineering Reactor (ITER) is going to be build by international cooperation. This special program aims at introduction of all the details of the recent fusion researches. This report is consisted of six parts; the first part explains the start, present statue and objects of ITER, a part and development of fusion research of Japan and the broader approach activities, the second part states outline of JAERI Tokamak-60 Super Advanced project (JT-60 SA) which forms a part of broader approach activities, researches and management, the third explains the engineering validation and engineering design activities of International Fusion Materials Irradiation Facility (IFMIF) on development of materials, the forth outline and development researches of test blanket activities for demonstration of tritium breeding function and power generation, the fifth a position, recent results and future of Large Helical Device (LHD), and the sixth Fast Ignition Realization Experiment (FIREX) program of Osaka University. 国際協力によるトカマク核融合実験炉(ITER)がようやくスタートすることになった。この時期にITERの計画、そのサポートとして日欧が推進するブローダー・アプローチ(I)、ブローダー・アプローチとして取り上げられた超伝導JT-60トカマク(II)、材料照射試験のためのIMFMIF(III)、ITERを使って進められるブランケットの開発(IV)、さらにトカマクとは異なる方式として研究が進められている大型ヘリカル装置(LHD)(V)、高速点火核融合計画(FIREX)(IV)の大型プロジェクトについて紹介する。(日本)
