Description
A series of new coordination polymers [{Ln(H2O)3}{Re6Se8(CN)6}].3.5H2O based on paramagnetic cluster anions [Re6Se8(CN)6]3- and rare earth metal cations has been prepared. The compounds with Ln = Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu are isostructural and crystallize in P21/c space group with the following unit cell parameters: a ∼ 8.8 Aa, b ∼ 13.8 Aa, c ∼ 23.2 Aa, β ∼ 90.5 , V ∼ 2820 Aa3, Z = 4. Topologic analysis of the polymeric framework observed in the compounds and its comparison with known mononuclear cyanometallates was performed.
