Imperfections in non-local elasticity

In non-local elasticity the stress at a reference point depends not only on the strain at this point but also on strains at all other points of the body. Various type imperfections are investigated in the frame-work of this theory. The non-local stresses have no singularities in contrast to the corresponding classical results which yield infinite stresses and divergent energies and cannot describe the situation in the strongly distorted region in the vicinity of the defect.
