Computation of velocity and temperature fields in the inlet of the WWER-type reactor cores
Description
In order to improve the accuracy of computations of the WWER-type reactor cores mainly in the cases when the coolant flow rates and temperatures in the individual circulation loops differ, it is necessary to know the coolant temperatures in the inlet of the working subassemblies. A technique of computation of the 3D flow of ideal and viscous fluids and the subsequent computation of temperature fields has been elaborated. Computer codes were developed and test computations were performed demonstrating good correspondence of computation results and measurements carried out within the framework of integrated hydraulic tests at the Dukovany NPP.
