Studies of the composition of superconducting ceramics by XRFA
Description
A method is proposed of XRFA determination of the stoichiometry of Bi-Pb-Ca-Sr-Cu-O superconducting ceramics. Uniform glassy emitters are prepared by fusing the test material with 19-fold flux excess. Mechanical treatment of the emitter working surface enables to reduce errors due to sample preparation. Systematic errors are statistically negligible. Stoichiometric index estimation errors are ±0.003 (Pb), ±0.005 (Bi), ±0.01 (Ca), ±0.002 (Cu)
