Target asymmetry and recoil nuclear polarization in photoproduction of pions and nuclear structure of 3H and 3He
- 1. Mysore Univ. (India). Dept. of Physics
Description
In view of the availability of polarized 3H and 3He targets, it is now possible to study the target asymmetry experimentally. This, along with the recoil nuclear polarization provides a sensitive probe to the study of S', P and D state admixtures in the wave function of 3H and 3He. A systematic theoretical study of photoproduction of pions on the three body nuclei is presented and the study of these parameters experimentally is suggested. (auth.)
