Electron and positron impact excitation of lithium like ions : a distroted wave approach
Description
A distorted wave approximation theory has been used to study 1s22p2P→1s23s2S excitation in lithium like ions by electrons and positrons. The results for differential cross-sections and collision strengths for C3+, N4+, O5+, F6+ and Ne7+ ions are obtained in the incident projectile energy range from two times to fifteen times threshold. These values are found to be in good agreement with the available results. (author). 32 refs., 3 figs., 4 tabs
