Test facility for fast gas injections into a vessel filled with water
Description
The Fast Gas Injection Facility (SGI) was set up to study the hydrodynamics during the expansion of a gas bubble into a vessel filled with water. The gas stored in a pressure vessel expands against gravity through a circular duct into a large cylindrical vessel partly with water. This report covers the description of the test facility and the data acquisition. Results of the first test series are added. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Eine Versuchsanlage zur schnellen Gasinjektion (SGI) wurde errichtet, um die Hydrodynamik bei der Expansion einer Gasblase in einen wassergefuellten Tank zu untersuchen. Das Gas tritt dabei aus einem Druckbehaelter durch eine kreisfoermige Oeffnung entgegen der Schwerkraft in einen grossen zylindrischen Tank, der zum Teil mit Wasser gefuellt ist. Der Bericht umfasst die Beschreibung der Anlage und der Messwerterfassung und stellt die Ergebnisse der ersten Versuchsreihe vor. (orig.)
