Description
The Hadron Elektron Ring Anlage, HERA, is a collider where electrons with a maximum energy of 30 GeV can collide with protons accelerated up to 820 GeV. The first collisions between 26.6 GeV electrons and 820 GeV protons are observed at the HERA collider at DESY. A short status of HERA and the experiments H1 and ZEUS is given, some observed events are shown and the luminosity measurement will be discussed. (author) 8 refs., 9 figs., 3 tabs
