On the mechanism of phenomena in the contact of a honing tool with a workable article
Creators
Description
The hypothesis on phenomena mechanism in the point of contact between the diamond honing blocks and processed surface is presented. It is shown that the function of the cooling lubricant, containing surface-active agents, consists in redistribution of energy-increase of the energy spent for metal dispersion and decrease of the energy consumed for wear-out of the honing blocks. The wear-out of the binder takes place at the first stage of the honing cycle because of its contact with the surface irregularities and at the subsequent stages due to presence of metal chips and diamond particles in-between the honing block and the part
