Preparation and study of CdTe thin films grown by the solution method
Description
CdTe thin films grown on glass, tin-oxide coated glass, rho-Si and mica by the solution growth technique were investigated for their compositional, structural, optical and electrical properties. The films predominately show a zincblende structure when grown on glass/tin-oxide coated glass and are wurtzite when grown on rho-Si and mica. Optical measurements indicate a direct band gap of 1.46 eV and an absorption coefficient of the order of 104 cm-1
