Mesons near threshhold
Description
A technique is described whereby narrow mesons produced in the reaction π− + p ⇒ meson + nucleon can be studied within a few MeV of the threshold. A summary is given of recently published results on the η, ω, η′ S* and φ, and some new data showing an unexpected behaviour of the ω and η′ cross sections is presented.
