Potential exposures and their control in some practices of radiation applications

The author di scribes various cases of potential exposures in some practices of radiation applications, such as radiation sources and gauges containing sealed radioactive sources, X and γ ray industrial radiography, γ ray irradiators, non-medical accelerators as well as medical radiotherapy. Protective measures were analysed. Those cases were classified according to the types of practice and causes of potential exposures. It is also emphasised that the design, management and experience summation concerning radiation accidents are important for prevention of potential exposures
