Optical AC Bloch oscillations in curved waveguides

Description
Full text: AC Bloch oscillations occur when an electron in a periodic lattice is subject to an AC electric field. However, the observation of this subtle effect is difficult because of excitonic effects. Here we show that the equivalent optical effect occurs in an array of curved optical waveguides, in which the sign of the curvature changes periodically
