Delaval type condensate filter/demineralizer system

The condensate purification system and reactor coolant purification system are used for purifying the primary coolant in reactors; the former is especially essential since it processes the whole condensate. In the past a condensate demineralizer alone was provided as a condensate purification device; in the new system, however, a condensate filter/demineralizer is provided upstream of the condensate demineralizer for the purpose of crud collection to improve the purity of the condensate. Under license of Transamerica Delaval Inc. which possesses the highest technology in this field, Ebara is carrying out the prototype design works for a 1100 MWe BWR condensate purification system. This system continuously filters and demineralizes 6800 - 7600 m3/h of condensate in its entirety. (author)
