Reactor vessel cooling device in a gas cooled reactor
Description
Purpose: To improve the reactor vessel cooling device in a gas cooled reactor. Constitution: Coolant pipes are disposed to the outer circumference of a reactor vessel, and a plurality of flexible contacts excellent in heat conductivity are disposed to them and pushed to the outer surface of the reactor vessel. If it is required to cool the reactor vessel, water is passed through the cooling pipes to conduct the heat of the reactor vessel from the heat conduction plate to the cooling pipes and further to water successively thereby conducting cooling. Since the flexible heat conduction plate is present between the reactor vessel and the cooling pipes, the cooling plate is not detached even if the reactor vessel is deformed. In this case, since the heat is conducted not by radiation but by heat conduction from metal to metal in contact with each other, the heat conductivity become favorable and rapid cooling become enabled. It is possible to simplify the structure of the device, reduce the manufacturing cost and shorten the working period. Since the contacts are merely pushed to the reactor vessel, the cooling pipes can simply be detached from the reactor vessel and the inspection time can be shortened. (Kamimura, M.)
