Description
EGS4 (Electron Gamma Shower Version 4) is a calculation code for simulation of transport of photon, electron and positron by Monte Carlo method. UCDOD (User Code for Design and Optimization of Detection Systems for Photon and Electron Radiations) is developed for user code of EGS4. The user code is easy input structure for user on the basis of PRESTA-CG and efficient calculation by integrating the existing and adding functions. UCDOD makes possible efficiently to design and optimize not only the simple gamma ray detection system but also the complex system using combination of some detectors. The properties of UCDOD, relation between UCDOD and EGS code, definition of radiation sources, trace of photon, application examples of UCDOD are described. (S.Y.)
