Local magnetic fields and muon states in some magnetic oxides

Description
The local magnetic field Bsub(μ) at the interstitial μ+ site is investigated in the magnetic oxides α-Fe2O3, Cr2O3, Fe3O4 and the rare earth orthoferrites R FeO3 (R=Eu, Dy, Ho, Er, Y). The temperature dependence of (Bsub(μ)) in zero applied field and the dependence of Bsub(μ) on an external field applied along certain crystallographic directions have been measured. The determined precession frequencies γ=γBsub(μ) are plotted as a function of temperature. (Auth.)
