Description
In the living room of a dwelling the activity concentrations of radon and its decay products were measured under different aerosol conditions to determine the equilibrium factor F. Additionally, the size distributions of the decay products were determined with a special aerosol spectrometer and the dose conversion coefficient DCCRADEP was calculated with the PC-program RADEP, that is based on the respiratory tract model of the ICRP. Different aerosol conditions have a great influence on F and DCCRADEP. Both parameters are inversely correlated however, and consequently the effective dose can be estimated by a measurement of the Rn-222 - concentration with a maximum uncertainty factor of ±2. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
In einem Wohnraum wurden unter verschiedenen Umgebungsbedingungen Messungen der Aktivitaetskonzentrationen von Radon und seinen Folgeprodukten durchgefuehrt, um den Gleichgewichtsfaktor F zu bestimmen. Mit einem speziellen Aerosolspektrometer wurden zusaetzlich die Groessenverteilungen der Folgeprodukte gemessen und daraus der Dosiskonversionskoeffizient DKKRADEP mit dem PC-Programm RADEP berechnet, das auf dem Atemtrakt-Modell der ICRP beruht. F und DKKRADEP werden durch unterschiedliche Aerosolbedingungen stark beeinflusst. Beide Parameter sind aber negativ korreliert, sodass aus einer Messung der Rn-222 - Konzentration die effektive Dosis mit einem Unsicherheitsfaktor von maximal ±2 abgeschaetzt werden kann.
