Description
Microelements of sample are analyzed by PIXE (Particle Induced X-ray Emission) method, which radiated MeV heavy charged particle beam from accelerator to the sample and measured the characteristics X-ray generated from it. The method can analyze microelements from sodium to uranium at the same time. PIXE method, micro beam, micro-PIXE camera, micro-PIXE method in atmosphere are explained. It can be applied to bioscience and mineral resources. In the bioscience, ovarian and liver tumor and the element distribution and metabolism in a cell are investigated. (S.Y.)
