Optimization of long matched sections of a synchrotron and analysis of nonlinear aberrations in them by a continuous analogue of the Newton method
Description
The effect of mismatching of a straight section already matched by linear computation has been investigated. Taking into account nonlinear aberrations in quadrupole lenses a matching has been computed by means of a continuous analogue of the Newton method. The computation results have shown that nonlinear aberrations in the lenses of matched straight sections give rise to an appreciable mismatching. The use of corresponding nonlinear elements is optimum to eliminate this effect
