Description
Using older data, there were many analyses which declared the death of the Weinberg model of spontaneous CP violation. These conclusion were invalid because they were based on optimistic estimates of the accuracy of the calculations. Using more recent data, only now can the model be ruled out even with realistic error estimates, because in the Weinberg model of CP violation, the recently measured value of Re(ε'/ε) = (1.92 ± 0.25) x 10-3 is incompatible with the branching ratio B (b → sγ) = (3.15 ± 0.54) x 10-4.
