MHD flow with heat transfer in an inclined channel under transverse magnetic field and wall conductivity

Description

The steady two dimensional laminar flow of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid through an inclined channel of rectangular cross-section in the presence of a transverse magnetic field is discussed. For this problem it is supposed that the fluid injection rate at one wall is equal to the fluid suction rate at the other. The walls of the channel have temperatures and finite conductivities. The object of this paper is to study the effects of Hartmann number and the wall conductance on the magnetic field profile, velocity profile, heat transfer and Nusselt number. The Maxwell stresses at the channel walls are also determined. (author)
