Description
In the course of strength investigations, besides computing the stresses, it is also necessary to assess the permissible load. For this purpose, mainly two methods are being applied in Germany: The method of the elastic deformation limit and stress qualification by means of stress categories. If the limits of the range of application of the methods are exceeded there may arise faults endangering the safety of the components against failure. (orig.)

Bei Festigkeitsuntersuchungssn muβ neben der Berechnung der Spannungen auch die Ermittlung der zulaessigen Beanspruchung durchgefuehrt werden. Dabei werden in Deutschland hauptsaechlich zwei Methoden angewendet: Die Methode der Formdehngrenze und die Bewertung der Spannungen mittels Spannungskategorien. Bei der Ueberschreitung der Grenzen des Anwendungsbereiches der Verfahren koennen Fehler auftreten, die die Sicherheit des Bauteils gegen Versagen gefaehrden. (orig.)Additional details
