Excitation of the nucleus in annihilation of positrons in the β+-decay process

Description
Nuclear excitation by positron annihilation in β+ decay is discussed. Experimental study of this effect has been carried out on the nucleus 45Sc, and values of the cross section have been estimated on the assumption that both resonance and nonresonance mechanisms of excitation take place
