This paper explicates the Dutch approach and experience with regard to the training of professionals (graduates) and technicians (non-graduates) who are concerned by radiological practices. The required training at different levels of expertise is explained. It applies to persons who are responsible for the health surveillance and the protection of workers as well as radiation protection for patients
