Control rod drives
Description
Purpose: To stably capture obstacles such as scales or CRUD accumulated in the control rod guide tube of in BWR type reactors. Constitution: A permanent magnet is disposed at the bottom of a control rod guide tube to capture obstacles by the magnet. Further, circular recess is formed to the bottom of the control rod guide tube to capture the obstacles therein, so as to decrease the effect due to the agitation of the reactor water. (Ikeda, J.)
