Description
In the framework of the German research projects EASY and PANAS investigations on the effectiveness of passive safety systems for accident management in nuclear power plants are carried out. Experimental studies provide detailed information about the physics and the heat removal capabilities of different passive components, needed for model development and code validation. The code system ATHLET-COCOSYS is used to develop new models and methods for a more reliable analysis of the behavior of passive systems in different kind of accident scenarios.
