Description
The transformation of optical radiation by nanoparticles consisting of two-layered nanospheres with silica cores and metallic shells of gold, silver, and platinum is modelled theoretically. The characteristics of the external and internal fields are found to differ significantly depending on the particle composition. The regions of maximum absorption and scattering do not coincide in wavelength or magnitude. The energy distributions for two-layered nanoparticles differ significantly in the magnitude of the energy maximum and in the position of the maximum energy density. (authors)
