Spectrophotometric study of system Zr(4)-2,3,4-trihydroxy-4-bromoazobenzene
Description
Interaction between zirconium(4) and 2,3,4-trihydroxy-4'-bromoazobenzene (BAB) is studied. Optimal pH of complexing is pH4, complex colouring is stable during 45 minutes. Total Zr binding to complex occurs at triple expense of BAB. Complex composition is 1:1, instability constant is 0.58x10-5. A technique of photometric determination of Zr with BAB is developed. Interfering effect of foreign ions and masking substances is studied. Lower limit of Zr detection is 0.18μg/ml. Relative standard deviation is 0.24
