'Invisible' axion detectors

Creators

  • 1. Florida Univ., Gainesville (USA). Dept. of Physics

Description

The author gives a brief review of various ideas which have been put forward to detect 'invisible' axions i.e. axions with 3x107 GeV ≤ fa ≤ 2x1012 GeV. The experiments would attempt to detect the axions which constitute the halo of our galaxy or axions which are emitted by the Sun; or they would attempt to detect the force mediated by virtual axions.
