Policy issues in the Energy Research and Development Administration's radioactive waste management program
Description
This review discusses the effect of the reorganization of AEC into the ERDA and NRC on waste management responsibilities, the major reactions to the draft environment statement (WASH-1539) and the current appraisal of public acceptance issues. Both retrievable surface storage and permanent disposal are discussed. Some of the fallacies of the nuclear critics' arguments are pointed out
