The role of rare earth elements in chemistry and technology

Description

A review of applications of the rare-earth elements in chemistry and technology is given. The use of the rare-earth compounds as reagents and catalysts as well as their applications in luminophors, lasers and magnets are shortly described. Their role in nuclear technology, metallurgy, glass and ceramic industry is characterized. (B.Cz.)
