On-line isotope separators
Description
A cross-field isotope separator (Lohengrin type) is not feasible at GANIL, due to the energy of the reaction products. A gas filled separator (Juelich type) does not seem compatible with a high resolution power. On the contrary a solution derived from the conventional ISOL device, with an ion source adapted to the products of heavy ion reactions, must make the suitable characteristics attainable
