Using the power-and-heat generation capabilities of NPPs with WWER-440 reactors for centralized district heating in Czechoslovakia

Problems concerning optimal conditions for district heating in Czechoslovakia using steam from unregulated heat supplies from NPP turbines are considered. Optimal coefficients of district heating depending on the value of heat load and the distance from the object up to heat supplying source are determined. It is shown that the absolute value of the reduced annual expenditure economy and the value of the optimal district heating coefficients decrease at the increase of a number of heat-supplied districts. On the basis of comparison of the Czechoslovakian cost indices with those for analogous districts in the USSR the conclusion is made, that the economy in calculated expenditures for the Soviet NPPs will be higher
