Description

Spectra of the radio QSO 1442 + 101 (Zem=3.544) have been obtained with the AAT at a resolution of 2 A FWHM from 3300 to 6200 A. Two absorption-line systems at zab=2.0703 (probable) and 2.5632 (certain) have been identified with lines of hydrogen and heavier ions, and 30 more possible systems have been found with only hydrogen lines. No H2 was found where previous authors reported a detection. (author)
